Propythium Effervescent Tablets
10ml

Info:
Propythium contains Pythium oligandrum—a beneficial, non-pathogenic, algae-like microorganism that lives in soil and naturally targets yeast and fungi. It’s suitable for topical use on cats, dogs, and horses (skin, paws, hooves, claws).
P. oligandrum works via mycoparasitism—it consumes other fungi to survive. It attacks pathogenic fungi, extracts nutrients (nitrogen, carbon, and more) and kills them in the process, then produces zoospores that actively seek out further fungal targets and their spores.
P. oligandrum also secretes enzymes that curb bacterial growth locally while it works. Importantly, studies indicate that while it reduces pathogenic bacteria, it does not cause significant shifts in the host’s resident bacterial flora (Vallance et al. 2009 & 2012). When resources (yeast/fungi) are depleted, P. oligandrum encapsulates and leaves the host environment, allowing normal microflora activity to return.
Ingredients: Citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, sorbitol, silica, Panicum miliaceum, Pythium oligandrum, PEG 6000, sodium carbonate.
